Most Americans don't recognize the name, but TP-Link is, at any given time the number 2 or 3 manufacturer of home Internet routers in the nation. The company was founded about six years ago and was recently featured on the Wirecutter for making the "best router for most people." Dwayne De Freitas finds himself surprised to find that Belkin, MAKERS OF WEMO, one of the leaders in connected and smart home technologies at CES 2015, decided to move away from Internet of Things hardware at CES 2016. Neither WEMO, nor its co-branded products from Mr. Coffee or Holmes was present. Has Belkin regressed to an iPhone accessories maker? |
